Looking for information on a Medieval/Renaissance game that was played with an apple?
I read once, and now can't find, about a game that was played in Medieval or Renaissance times in Europe where participants would put cloves into an apple in a version of "spin the bottle" for sexual favors; taking out a clove with your mouth meant you could kiss whom ever offered the apple to you...or something like that. If any one knows anything about this game and the particular rules, please respond...thanks! =)
It's called Cloven Fruit. I found more info on it at the link below. Basically someone would pass you a fruit with cloves inserted. If you remove the clove with your hand they can kiss you on the hand. If you remove the clove with your teeth they can kiss you on the lips. After the kiss you pass the fruit on to anyone other than the person who gave it to you.
