Can I color my cake batter pink?
If I just use a white cake batter, can I just add pink food coloring to it to make it a pink cake? If so, how much should I use? It's for a 2 layered 8 inch round cake. I have Wilton gel food coloring.
Or can I swirl in different colors before baking it to make it like a marbeled cake?
You can do either. If you want to make it pink you should add three drops and stir into batter. If it is not dark enough for you add one drop at a time, stirring in between drops. With the marble add drops of each colour you want, making sure each colour is separated by at least an inch. Swirl in colours with a fork gently, but not for too long. Bake normally.
