Why is it pictures of Christmas are represented by Santa, when Hanukkah is the menorah? Where did nativity go?

Why is the nativity scene rarely used as the picture to represent Christmas, especially when all the December holidays are represented by pictures? The Menorah represents the miracle of light, Christmas the miracle of life. Santa is the commercial representation, the secular version. As a Christian, it gets to me that there appears to be unequal treatment of the religious holidays. Christmas continues to become more and more secular, like showing the nativity scene is obscene.

Christmas represents the miracle of life, and it's very obvious in the tree, the mistletoe and holly etc. Keep in mind that it was a festival of life and light before Christianity came along.

Christmas is celebrated every year on 25th of December and is observed as the birth date of Jesus Christ.
